Author interview with Jon Steele

Author interview with Jon Steele In July I read and reviewed both The Watchers and Angel City, and they are two great books. Jon Steele blends the lines between the natural and supernatural in his stories. Added to this is his introduction of historical places, this element makes the stories truly come to life. If you are looking for something new and fresh to read get these books. The Watchers was released last year, Angel City is out September 12th. Author bio: Jon Steele was born in the American west and worked as an award winning cameraman/editor for ITN for more than twenty years. He has travelled and worked through seventy-eight countries across six continents. War Junkie, his autobiography of a life behind the camera in some of the worst places on earth, was published in 2002 by Transworld and has become a cult classic of war reportage. In 2003, while in Baghdad at the start of the Iraq war, he became disillusioned with television news, put his camera on the ...

Angel City

Angel City by Jon Steele, The Angelus Trilogy #2 Paris, City of Light. Where there is light, there are shadows A new battle in the timeless war between good and evil begins. A battle which could turn Paris into a dead zone. Jay Harper, alone, must make a difference. From the forbidden tunnels under Paris, to the Cathar fortress at Montsegur, to the apparent safety of a small-town in Washington State – a town that doesn’t exist on a map – Angel City is a strange trip through the shadows where the creatures we call angels dwell. Because the time of the prophecy is at hand… Earlier this month I read the first book in the Angelus Trilogy, The Watchers, and I was just awed by what Jon Steele had put on paper. The Watchers was a powerful book written in a superb manner that really blurred the lines between the natural and supernatural. And lets not forget to mention the characters that you read about, they were portrayed in an compelling manner. Angel City is the sec...

The Watchers by Jon Steele, The Angelus Trilogy #1 Beneath Lausanne Cathedral in Switzerland lies a secret buried before time began. A secret to angels and to men. A secret, that is, until now… Marc Rochat watches over the city at night from the belfry of the cathedral. He lives in a world of shadows and beforetimes and imaginary beings. Katherine Taylor, call girl, is living the dream. But she is about to find out that her real-life fairy tale is far to good to be true. Jay Harper, private detective, wakes in a crummy hotel room with no memory. When the telephone rings and he’s offered a job, he has no choice but to accept. Three lives. One purpose. Save what’s left of paradise, before all hell breaks loose. The Watchers is Jon Steele’s first book in The Angelus Trilogy, a mythical noir themed story that all start in the Lausanne Cathedral in Switzerland. Jon Steele has worked as an award-winning cameraman and editor for Independent Television News of Lond...
